Camp Hilton style

Where can you camp by the lake like this, perfect if it weren't for the odd gust of wind to blow a tent into the lake. Very funny :-)

Rotorua

We were entertained with a display if 19 different breeds of sheep, dogs & cows after a days riding in the rain. This show and a feed of local seafood washed down with the local wine, made it all better!

Towards Taupo

We were given instructions on how to perform a Haka at Whakatane. I also visited the only live volcano on White Island on the rest day. If I was not sick from the rough sea on the way, the sulphur fumes would have done it or the transport on the tender between boat and shore!

Gisborne to Taupo

Safely finished with only 2 days rain.
