After walking Hinchinbrook island for 4 days and MTB riding the FNQ WILDERNESS RIDE for 7 days, it is good to see Captain Cook. I never thought I would do pleased to see him. Christ, what a tough MTB ride and I am over the tent for a while.

Where can you camp by the lake like this, perfect if it weren't for the odd gust of wind to blow a tent into the lake. Very funny :-)

Rotorua

We were entertained with a display if 19 different breeds of sheep, dogs & cows after a days riding in the rain. This show and a feed of local seafood washed down with the local wine, made it all better!

Towards Taupo

We were given instructions on how to perform a Haka at Whakatane. I also visited the only live volcano on White Island on the rest day. If I was not sick from the rough sea on the way, the sulphur fumes would have done it or the transport on the tender between boat and shore!
